New York Baseball Teams Gear Up For World Series Runs

Last season was one of the best for New-York-baseball fans. The Yankees made it to the World Series while the Mets were just a few games away from the same destiny. We were so close to having two New York teams duking it out for the ultimate title in baseball. This year we could be in for more of the same. Both teams have their eyes set on another run at the title. Let’s look at how they are planning to get there.

Betting on either New York team to win the World Series is one of the most-popular wagers to take this Spring Training. Before the first regular-season games even hurl their opening pitch the Yankees have the third-best odds and the Mets have the fourth-best odds of winning it all. Even betting on a New York vs New York World Series matchup doesn’t tout the worst odds.

The Yankees lost one of their top hitters in Juan Soto. Where did he go? Soto was signed by none other than the Mets, keeping him in New York but just across town. This has greatly improved the odds of the Mets to win the championship. Last year they were barely on the radar in the preseason and were the scrappy playoff team that nearly made it all the way. This year the Mets are one of the favorites.

For the Yankees, they are still arguably the most-aggressive team as far as acquiring stars. While they lost Soto, they made some big splashes of their own to retool this roster. That started with signing Max Fried to a massive deal to be their ace. Soon after that they traded for Cody Bellinger and then signed Paul Goldschmidt.

It’s great for the city of New York to have both of their teams competitive. This season the two teams hailing from New York have high expectations. Can they meet them? We will find out soon as the season is coming up soon for two of the top World-Series favorites.
