Glenn in as Jets Coach: Still Unanswered Questions

The New York Jets have made Aaron Glenn their new head coach. Glenn has been the defensive coordinator with the Detroit Lions for the past four seasons. He’s been by Dan Campbell’s side throughout the rebuild. While the signing of Glenn answers one major need for the Jets, there are still a few large-unanswered questions looming.
Aaron Glenn has a lot of similarities in his coaching style as his old head coach, Dan Campbell. Campbell and Glenn, as the defensive coordinator, were able to turn the Lions’ franchise around in just a couple of years. The Jets hope that Glenn can do the same in New York. This Jets team arguably has more to work with than the Lions did just a few years ago.
To do so, the Jets still need to fill some very important roles. The first is getting a new General Manager. This will help in shaping how the team will look heading into the 2025 season. This will likely happen soon as free agency is already just around the corner and closer than it seems.
Probably the first thing we will see put in place is a new offensive coordinator. Glenn has a handful of candidates in mind and could make this move even before a new GM is hired. The offensive coordinator will dictate further actions for this team such as who they sign in the offseason and what will happen at quarterback.

The question that everyone wants to know is if Aaron Rodgers will be in New York next year. Things will have to align for it to happen but it appears likely if everyone is on the same page. Rodgers still has the physical talent to be a top quarterback in the league but his desire to play with the Jets, or play at all, is in question.
There are still a ton of questions that the Jets need to address this offseason. The signing of their new head coach, Aaron Glenn, was the first. It will be interesting to see how these other glaring questions are answered.
