Charles W. Emre, Jr. of Milltown, NJ passed away on August 31, 2023 at Preferred Care – Old Bridge. He was 60 years old. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, he was a lifelong resident of Milltown and a longtime Borough employee. Chuck was a member of the police reserves in his younger years and a member of American Legion Post 25, Milltown. He was fond of fishing, cooking, rock collecting, and had a deep interest in wolves. Chuck was loved by everyone and many hearts are broken at his passing. Predeceased by his parents Charles, Sr. and Gladys (nee Brinley) Emre and brother Michael Stricker, Chuck is survived by brother and sister-in-law Peter and Laurie Stricker; sister and brother-in-law Kathie and Carmen DeAndrea; sister Carla Woolington; and sister and brother-in-law Deborah and Jeffrey Dockhorn; nieces and nephews Jeffrey Dockhorn, Jr. , Wayne Michael Dockhorn, Levi Grant Dockhorn, Sr. , Shana DeAndrea, Gretchen Stricker, and Emily Stricker; and great-nieces and nephews Cole, Lily, Destinee, Mason, Hayden, Savanna, Levi, Jr. , Macai, and Elliot. Family and friends will be received Saturday 10:00am – 1:00pm at the Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown. The funeral service will be celebrated Saturday 10:30am. Final disposition is private.
