Historic Preservation: 625 Westfield Avenue

A key legislative action at the meeting was the progression of General Ordinance No. 2026-03, which proposes designating the private residence at 625 Westfield Avenue as a historic landmark and updating the town’s zoning map to reflect this status.

The ordinance cites the structure’s construction era (circa 1907–1908) and affirms the recommendation of the Town’s Historic Preservation Commission supporting the designation. If adopted, this change would embed local historic protections into the municipal land use code, influencing future alterations or permitted uses for the property.

Public Comment and Community Interaction
